Delica Bridal Annual Sample Sale Feb 10th

Ballin’ on a budget? On a time crunch? Looking for a second look? We’ve got you covered!

Our exclusive annual sample sale will include over 80 dresses from your favorite dress designers.

What to expect:

  • Sample sale is by appointment only. Walk-ins will not be accepted during the sample sale.
  • Brides will have 45 minutes to browse and try on dreses
  • Brides are welcome to bring up to 2 guests with them
  • Sample dresses range in size from 8-14 and range in price from $199-$1499
  • Over 80 dresses are included in the sale
  • Designers you can expect to see in the sale: Jenny Yoo, Truvelle, Laudae, Aesling, Tara Lauren, Hayley Paige and others!
  • Come prepared to find your dress and take it home with you the same day. All sales are final and no holds will be allowed throughout the sale.

How to book:

  • Book a timeslot on eventbrite HERE to schedule your appointment. There is a $15 (+ GST) non-refundable, non-transferable sample sale booking fee. If you purchase your dress at the sample sale, the fee gets credited towards your dress purchase.
  • One “ticket purchase” reserves the appointment time for your group.
  • You must show up at your allocated appointment time slot.
  • Cancellations and no-shows will forfeit the $15 (+ GST) booking fee.
  • Appointments are limited, so be sure to book early!

Other important things to note:

  • We do not recommend the sample sale for first time shoppers. Sample sales are a fast-paced shopping environment, especially suitable for those who have already tried on dresses and have a clear idea of what they want.
  • Gowns are sold as is. Our sample gowns have been tried on in store and have been gently loved by our brides! Although they are in excellent condition, some minor wear is expected. Dry-cleaning may be needed and alterations will be required for the perfect fit!

Every bride attending the sample sale will have a chance to win $200 towards their sample gown purchase. Bride must be in attendance at the sample sale to redeem. Giveaway is non-transferable, only applicable on sample gowns and must be redeemed on Saturday, February 10th. Winner will be contacted via email on Friday, February 9th.

Delica bridal, a locally owned bridal shop in Edmonton, is seeking a talented and personable part-time bridal stylist to join our team. If you have a contagious smile, a positive outlook and the ability to connect with people, we want to hear from you!

 

We’d be a perfect match if:

  • You are energetic and a people person. We are looking for stylists who foster a fun, welcoming shopping environment for brides to be themselves and celebrate their love.
  • You have retail, customer service or sales experience with a respectable brand. If you know how to connect with people and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, we can teach you the bridal side of things.
  • You are available to work on Saturdays and Sundays.  Weekends are the most exciting time at the shop: the store is bustling and full of brides finding their dress!
  • You have an individualistic sense of style and a genuine interest in bridal.
  • You have a keen eye for detail and can multitask like no-other!
  • You are self-motivated and are able to think on the spot to effectively solve problems. 

What a day looks like:

  • Work one on one with brides and their bridal parties to help them discover their ideal wedding day look.
  • Develop a positive, trusting relationship with brides throughout the entire bridal gown purchase process: from the time they purchase up until their wedding day.
  • Receive and inspect inventory shipments and orders to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Maintain the visual appearance of the sales floor, including organizing dresses, keeping change rooms and showroom clean and presentable.
  • Participate and assist with organizing in store events, bridal fairs and promotions.

 

Additional Information:
We offer above average industry wages with sales bonuses.
Number of positions: 1
Part-time role comprised of weekend shifts and also one- two evening shifts during the week {approximately 15-20 hours per week}

COVID-19 RULES AND REGULATIONS

We’ve got you, girl. 

 

Planning a wedding during COVID-19 is tough and we are here to help you find your dress. It’s a crazy time and we have to put the following restrictions in place to protect our staff, you and your family/friends. We will be opening for appointments on June 2nd with limited hours. We will not be taking ANY bridesmaids appointments at this time. If a bridesmaid dress appointment is urgent (wedding this fall/winter), please contact us. 

 

DELICA BRIDAL COVID-19 RULES & REGULATIONS

 

Open by appointment only. No walk-ins! Our door will remain locked. When you arrive for your appointment, please call the store and we will let you in. There will only be allowed one “group” allowed in the store at a time. 

  • As of Feb 1, 2021 due to AHS regulations, we have been advised that brides can only bring TWO guests with them. This also applies to bridesmaids appointments.
  • Don’t be alarmed: we will be greeting you with a smile behind the mask that we are wearing. We also ask that you (and your guest) wear a mask. If you do not have one, we will supply you with one. We get it: it is weird, uncomfortable and far from the norm. For now, this is what we have to do in order to protect everyone.
  • We will be asking everyone to wash their hands when they arrive and when they leave.
  • No touching all of the dresses and accessories please!  If you would like to try on a dress, please let your consultant know and your consultant will pull the dress for you. If there are certain dresses that you know that you would like to try on before your appointment, please let us know so we can pre-pull these dresses for you. 
  • Maximum try-on of 6 gowns.
  • Appointments will be scheduled for 1 hour instead of 1.5 hours. This allows us time to clean the room and store in between appointments and disinfect the wedding gowns. 
  • At this time, there will be no celebratory champagne toast or drinks offered. As always, no outside beverages or food. 
  • The most obvious: if you have been travelling, are sick or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, please do not come in.

We thank you for all being so understanding. We always brag that we have the BEST brides. Things may feel a bit different when you come in, but we are going to do our best to still make sure that you get the experience that you deserve (all while maintaining social distancing!)

Business Not as Usual

As you already know, we have decided to temporarily close our doors due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We will return as soon as we believe it is safe for our employees, our brides and their families. We know its a challenging time right now and we get it, we are just as sad missing all of our brides! Business is not as usual, but we are still here to answer any questions you have, process orders, arrange drop offs, schedule alterations, or even just a be an ear to listen! Although our store is closed, we are trying to get creative with how we can stay connected with all of you. Please read below for some FAQ & updates on how we are operating during the pandemic.

 

Dress Timelines

If you have already ordered your dress or bridesmaid dress, it is still on track to be delivered on time, without any major delays. Our designers production teams have been working around the clock to ensure that your orders will arrive on time. If anything changes with dress timelines, we will let you know, as we want to be as transparent as we can be through this process.

For those of you who are looking to order your dress, designers have quoted us 6-7 months for production + 2 months for alterations. Some of our designers are able to accommodate rushes at this time, so if your wedding is sooner, please reach out to us to discuss your options.

Sample Dresses

For those who are getting married this fall and are ballin’ on a budget, we would recommend checking out our sample sale! Follow our sample sale Instagram account @delicabridalsamplesale to browse through our collection of sample dresses. We are selling these sample gowns off the rack all for $499. For those who have been in store before and are ready to commit to buying your dress (or bridesmaid dresses), we are still taking orders remotely. If we already have your measurements on file, great! If not, we can schedule a virtual appointment to help show you how to take your own measurements. Please email info@delicabridal.com & we can start the order process!

Virtual Try-on Appointments

For those who are expecting your dress arrival within the next few weeks (and months), we will contact you to schedule a drop-off appointment. We are available to drop off you bridal gown to your home and then schedule a virtual try on to answer any questions you might have about the fit/alterations. During your virtual try on, you can expect to have a one-on-one video call with one of our owners, We will be there virtually to see how the dress fits and discuss what alterations are needed. For those brides who live out of town, don’t fret! We will ship your dress to you and we will get in touch to schedule a virtual try-on. At this time our recommended seamstress is still taking appointments.
