2017 was an incredibly memorable year for Delica Bridal! Throughout the year, our shop hosted and attended events, welcomed new designers and even introduced an original and exclusive design. Here are a few of our highlights:
1. Events Galore
This past year we participated in the Local Love Pop Up not once, but twice! We enjoyed meeting Edmonton’s finest wedding vendors and learning about all of the unique gift guides and workshops our city has to offer. We also had the opportunity to host trunk shows for the following designers, Hayley Paige, Blush by Hayley Paige and Truvelle Bridal. We even hosted a Sample Sale in the Spring to clear out some of our well loved inventory! In November, we hosted our first ever Launch Party for the 2018 Truvelle collection and had the pleasure of celebrating alongside #YEG’s finest creatives and brides! The night was an absolute blast filled with gorgeous dresses, stunning florals, music, bubbly, doughnuts and of course, the best company! We absolutely love bringing our brides the newest designs, whilst also providing a fun and stress free environment. Follow us on Facebook to receive updates about the events we have planned for 2018!
2. Welcoming Laudae Bridal
In the Spring, we welcomed the coolest, environmentally friendly bridal line to our shop, Laudae Bridal! Laudae gowns are designed for the conscious, spirited babe in all of us! Made and designed in Vancouver, Canada, they do their best to source & manufacture responsibly, and keep all aspects of production inline with environmental and social ethics. If you’re getting married, book an appointment at our shop to check out their 2018 styles. Their comfortable and unique designs will not disappoint!
3. Dream Come True
Back in December 2016, the amazing team at Truvelle granted us the opportunity to design an exclusive dress that is only available at Delica Bridal. In January 2017, we finally saw our design come to life! While the purpose behind the project was to find a more permanent solution to the unfortunate occurrence of waste associated with garment production, it consequently doubled as an opportunity for the brand to reward their best-selling shops. We named our design, The Trish, inspired and named after our third sister. We wanted the dress to reflect Trisha’s fun, playful and sophisticated personality. To say we’re obsessed with this gown, would be an understatement! You can read the whole story and see pictures here.
Of course, our favourite part of every year is reflecting on our amazing brides and community who have included us in their special day and supported us since the beginning. Thank you! We’re so grateful to be apart of Edmonton’s bridal community and can’t wait to share with you all that we have planned for 2018! We think it’s safe to say we’re off to a great start, have you seen the cover of Avenue Magazine? We’ll also be at Local Love again in February, where we hope to see you there!
Thank you for your continued support.
